Matt's Senior Night

I can't believe I am doing this again so soon. I feel like I just walked Dallin out on that field at his last game. It was a great night, perfect weather, lots of school support, we won, and Matt scored a goal. The goal was great but the best part was when Matt ran to the side line to hung his brother Zach. (Proud moment) Not sure that I'm ready to have another one flying the coop, but atleast I know he is ready. Here are some pictures from the big night...Way to go Matt. We are so proud of you.

SPIRIT WEEK @ JMRHS

I remember loving spirit week in high school. Its fun to see my kids enjoying it too. Its Homecoming week, and today is "Decade Day" So Matt and Abby dressed from the 50's and Zach the 80's. I think they hit it right on the mark.

Fun weekend with Grandma Peggy and Aunt Bean

I received alot of help this weekend from family...thanks mom and Debbie. I have had alot on my plate the last couple of weeks. But it just got eased alot by family. We spent the weekend crafting. It was alot of fun, and they turned out so cute. We made these centerpieces for a teacher appreciation luncheon ( spooky soups theme) It was fun just visiting, staying up late talking and just working together. Thanks so much everyone for your help. I think Daisy is ready for halloween!

Coolest thing ever!!!

Yesterday, Jaclyn's brother RJ flew to CA (he works for an airlines) He and his girlfriend Christina flew to CA to meet Elder Page. I say meet literally, they have never met before. He returned from his mission this past June. They took Elder Page and Elder Ji out to lunch and took them grocery shopping and then flew home. Can you believe that. That is the kindest gesture ever! What a cool way to meet someone for the first time. RJ your the best...thank you!

"The Worth of Souls is Great"

Elder Page has had a terrific week. The weather is cooling down, "great tracting weather". He had what he calls a proud moment this week. One of his investigators, who is rather quiet, and it was the first time that they had attended all 3 meetings, shared some thoughts in Gospel Essentials class this past sunday. "He talked for probably 3 minutes and as every second passed my initial dropped jaw turned into the biggest smile ever. I am so proud of him and his wife, they are just doing so well and are seeing just how much the gospel can bless their lives. It's moments like this that make all the slammed doors worth it. If just one person opens their heart to the spirit of our message and in turn, comes closer to their Savior Jesus Christ, it's all worth it because "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God".

Fun Weekend !

Wow, we had a busy weekend! Friday night was the Nationwide 300...yes after living here for 11 years I went to a race! Now I can say that I have done that. My friend Kristalyn. who is a big race fan invited Tory and I to go with her and her son Bailey. Steve came along at the last minute. I must admit I still done't get it, but there were parts of it that were exciting. Just not hours and hours and hours of it at a time...sorry race fans.
Tory had a soccer game Saturday. They won again YEA, 2-0. He has been plying with an injury and still doing a good job. He played the entire game this week.
Uncle Scott and cousins, Brandon, Will, Jordan and Carson came up for the weekend. We really do enjoy having them visit. They don't get to see enough of each other. While here they spent Saturday night at Scarowinds. They had a lot of fun hanging out. Scott you are a great uncle to take 11 teenagers alone for the evening. Thanks for making the trip!
Steve and I attended a Baptism. We had 2 sisters get baptised. It was a wonderful event. Speaking of baptisms. Lisa Bell called me this week ( on of Dallin's investigators) She is so excited for her families baptism. She kept saying how happy Dallin is for them as well. She said that he is working hard and doing wonderful things there in Irvine. Lisa thanks for taking good care of our missionary.
