Elder Page loves the children!

Elder Page and his new companion Elder Nuttall had their first full week together. They have been working so hard, with new members, members geting referrals, working with the Mission President and the new Ward Mission Leader, and doing lots of tracting (not his favorite thing to do) they have found potentials, taught and extended baptismal dates....after all of their hard work they are hoping to find that one person who IS ready to hear the gospel. They would appreciate prayers in their behalf in doing that. He bore a sweet testimony...I hope he does not mind if I share it.
" I want you all to know that this work is of the Lord. We are of the most blessed of his children. Through all of the trials here I will never deny the divinity of hte church. Joseph Smith was a prophet of the Lord. The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ. It is the key to this work. Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's mouthpiece. THe powerful witness of the spirit has given me this knowledge. Jesus Christ has a plan for our family. We are on the road to eternity. Never doubt this work. When we fall, pray to Father and receive strength. We can receive a witness again and again. I know that I am weak but am called to the greatest work in existence. Again, I love you all. I pray that the Lord will forgive me as I thrust in my small sickle. With Love, Elder Page"
Elder Page LOVES the children...I know he is dying to hold this little boy!

Scott & Kara's Reception

Saturday was Scott and Kara's reception. We were missing alot of people but those who came had a great time. These are just a few of the pictures taken, there were cameras on the tables, so I am sure there are many more. Notice the boys are not in any of the pictures, they were all playing basketball on the other side of the gym...BOYS! Oh well they had fun too! It was a beautiful night. We wish Scott and Kara many long and happy years together!!!!

more of the Elders Page and Dodson

Just another day at the Pages :) We love having them over. The guys really enjoy them. We were hoping they were coming over today for P-day...we'll see, they are not here yet. I am sure we will feed them again this week. I hate it when they have open days on the calendar.

Howdy Partner!

Elder Page is doing wonderfully. His new companion Elder Nuttall, is from Iowa. He is very quiet and loves to read and write stories. Matthew is looking at it as an opportunity to be more talkative and take the lead on discussions, and work on his spanish. They have a new Ward mission leader who is excited to get to work with them. They have a few families they are teaching, hopefully they will continue to progress and come to church. He loves all the letters and the support he is receiving from so many...keep them coming :) Here he is with the Patriarch of the Delgado family...howdy partner!

Sunday with the missionaries...

Today we had the Elders over for lunch and dinner. They went out with Bishop in between. We really love having the missionaries in our home. We are slowly getting to know Elder Dodson and Elder Page. Yea Elder Page, cool huh! He comes from a family of 5 kids...all sisters just the opposite of us. We have just decided he could be one of ours! We keep teasing Elder Dodson about being a (Greenie) we are not allowed to say that word :) Tomorrow they are coming over for P-day to hang out play soccer or whatever they want to do. We have found out that the missionaries just like being in a family atmosphere so they can definately get that here. I am glad that they are starting to feel comfortable with us. They have not come over like the Elders in the past. I think because this being Elder Dodson's first area and Elder Page coming here when Elder Dodson was just getting to know the area made it a little different. But I hope they know that we love them.
