Elder Page...hot days in Tucson.

Last week was a the baptism of Arejandra. She is a sweet lady they have been teaching. Her mother is now interested in learning more about the gospel. Elder Page and Elder Kinsey are still together. This has been the only longest companionship that for Elder Kinsey, so he is very happy. They work so hard and do it so cheerfully together. They have been doing alot of looking and no finding. Their teaching pool is pretty shallow right now, but they having been doing a lot of fasting and prayer to help that change. I am sure they could use our prayers as well. He says he finally got his bike fixed ( I had no idea it was broken) " I think I was just dreading biking in the heat. We ae trying to bike more now. I'm vey use to just sweating so much that it just dips down my face as I walk." ;) As a family this week we were studying Mosiah 3. Matthew had just finished reading that chapter and lots to share with us.
"This chapter is one that as a missionary I have thought alot about. I've thought that as we summit our will to his we change, we truly become like him and that natural man is put in remission. The Atonement is so amazing. Elder Ballard states: That's the way it is when Jesus Christ becomes a reality in your life. It isn't that He some how makes you do things that you wouldn't do otherwise. Rather, you find yourself wanting to do what He would do and respond as He would respond in an effort to bring your life into harmony with His. And an interesting thing happens whenever you attempt to place your feet in Christ's footsteps. If you really concentrate on tying to walk the way He walked- loving, caring, serving, and obeying each step of the way- one day you'll look up and discover that His path has led you directly to the throne of God."
Matt goes on to say, "I know that Christ is our friend. He offers that way to return again to Father. We all face trials and difficulty, but His Atonement enables us to have the strength to ovecome and prevail. He may not change ou situation, but he will ease the burden that even we cannot feel them upon our backs."
It has been so wonderful to see Matthew's testimony grow. He is a great man, and I am so happy to know him andto be his mother. We love you Matthew and pray for your happiness and success.
