Having Dallin home...

We are all so very happy to have Dallin home again. He has added so much to our home. He is slowly adjusting to things, trying to stay busy, looking for a job, and hanging out with me alittle :) He is loved so much, we can't wipe the smiles off of our faces. We are looking forward to to fun activities in the next few days, maybe then we will think to take pictures!

Baptism in Fabens

What ha happy day it was in Fabens Texas! Elder Page experienced his first baptism, and what joy it has brought him. He is so very happy for Calsada and his wife. Elder Page is doing well and continues working hard. He just recently had another Zone Conference and loved it. He really enjoys being around all the Elders and President Walker. We are so happy that he is having such a wonderful experience while serving! Elder Page and his first baptism with Cuko Calsada

WELCOME HOME DALLIN!
Well the last two days have been a whirlwind. But I am happy to be in the storm. Elder Page did come home! I find myself touching him all the time. I guess just to make sure I am not dreaming. I can't seem to stop smiling, the kids run home from school just so they can be with him longer. Word just can not describe how wonderfully happy we all are to have him home.
The Airport was full of laughter and a few happy tears. We had so much fun waiting for his arrival. And in full Page Cousins humor they greeted passengers throughout the night, that were heading to baggage claim, with loud cheers and welcome back, and great job! I guess they were practicing for when Dallin actually arrived. It was pretty fun to see the look on peoples faces when they would look behind them for who we were cheering for and there would be no one and Zach would yell, no you, YEA YOU!
But the cheers were never louder than when we saw him coming down the esculator, with a small grin on his face, looking a bit in shock, but found out later he was just trying to hold back the tears. Getting to be the first to welcome him home was humbling, because I could feel his spirit so strongly as I held him in my arms. He had served with his whole heart and soul, and he was happy! What a wonderful feeling
He was so happy to see so many there, but was in shock when he saw his sister Abby and how beautiful she had become, and how tall Tory had gotten. Thanks to everyone who drove from so far to welcome him home!
The last couple of days we have gotten to taste the fruits of the spirit, there is no greater blessing than to see your children walking with their Savior. We are so very happy and proud of his service and sacrifice that has brought so many blessings to so many people, especially us his family. Welcome Home Elder Page (I am going to miss saying that)

Elder Page starts his goodbyes!

Yesterday I received a sweet email from a sister in California, Kathy Laud. She is one of the members in the Anaheim ward that Dallin is now serving in. It was so thoughtful of her to send me a message and to let us know how much she loves our son.
His Sister Lisa Page,
My name is Kathy Laub, I am in the Anaheim 2 ward, your son's last ward before he goes home...in a couple of days I think. I want to let you know how much we have enjoyed him and his sweet spirit. Even though he has only served in our ward for 6 weeks, it feels like we know him well...he is a wonderful young man and I know you are so very proud of how he has been diligent in serving the Lord on his mission.
My son, Nathan, returned home from a 2 year mission in December, these two have become fast friends and Nathan has really ejoyed going out to teach with Elder Page so much, he will miss him.
We have photos of Elder Page and his companion, Elder Chadburn, on one of their dinners here...they come over a lot, because we like them!
I know how excited and overwhelming you might be at this time, knowing how your son has pleased the Lord with his sacrifice of serving Him and preaching the Gospel for 2 years...he loves his mission and will miss it like I know my son Nathan does.
I pray that Elder Page and all of you have a joyous reunion and are blessed with the peace and joy the Gospel brings.
Sincerely
Kathy Laub
Your son and Elder Chadburn are the most adorable companions (besides my son of course!)
My husband Calvin, son Nathan daughters Lindsey, Melissa and Jenni. As you can tell they feel comfortable in our home...we are silly.

Guess who is one year older....Happy Birthday Steve!

It's funny the saying that you get better with age is really true....look at him, he is more handsome that ever! And as a person, husband, friend, father, he just keeps getting better and better. Happy Birthday to my best friend and confidant. I love you!

Elder Page is teaching anyone who will listen...

Well Fabens is a brighter place I am sure with Elder Page in it. He and his companion are having a baptism on saturday. What a wonderful event. It has been tough finding people to teach in the near by areas, but they seem to be finding the few who want to listen in Fabens. (even this bird :) ) He and his companion have been doing a lot of service to those that live around them. He says it feels good to help out. They had some Jehovah Witness knock on their door the other day. He said it felt backwards...that some one was knocking on their door. He is doing well and loves receiving your letters and support. Thanks to everyone!

Happy 21st Birthday Dallin!

It is hard to believe that Dallin is 21 years old! Where has the time gone. What a great man he has grown up to be. We could not be more proud of him. Watching him grow so over the last 2 years has been a wonderful blessing. He has always been the strong big brother and the perfect example to his brothers and sister. We are so excited to give him a big hug and see his handsome smile again in a few days. Happy Birthday Dallin we love you!

Tory, Zach, and Alcides braving the cold

2010 Winter Wonderland

Well we finally got some snow to speak of. It is simply beautiful! It's Sunday morning and we are still enjoying the fact that it is still on the ground :) Church has been canceled today so it is truly a sabbath day of rest :) They probably will have no school tomorrow the roads are still covered with ice. Hopefully the missionaries will come over tomorrow and we will still have some snow to play in. I love how everything shuts down and life stops around here when it snows. It forces us to, slow down and look around at the beauty of whats in front of us, and spend time with the ones we love. I love snow days! Daisy was so intrigued by what was falling out of the sky!

It was beautiful as it fell...

By morning we had a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground

Abby was ready to go out and tackle the cold and the snow

Abby looks like she has pretty good form

Zach wipes out

Looks like Tory got hurt
wipe out

wow go Abby!

Here comes Steve
Alicides and Tory

Glad Alcides finally went out...only after I called home and asked him to go get steve and have him pick me up at church. I think he had fun for the short time he was out there. He is afraid of the cold! :)

Notice there was no me. I was at church decorating for a reception so I missed out on all the fun in the snow...Maybe tomorrow!
