Messages from our missionaries!

Lets start with our first missionary Elder Dallin. He is doing well, and very happy to be staying with Elder Allred. He is only the second companion that he has had for 3 transfers! He is still in Anaheim Hills and still mission Mechanic...I guess he will die doing that! He hopes to be going to the temple with the Bells before he heads home. Hope all of that works out soon. Keep him in your prayers for finding those to teach.
Elder Matthew is in his 6th week at the MTC. The time is going by quickly. He was able to participate in a Sealing Ordinance at the temple. What a spiritual experience that was for him. "I know that this gate, just like baptism, leads to the path of exaltation, as we keep sacred these covenants that we make. The Lord promises us blessings beyond measure as we continue on the path with obedience." He did have a funny experience at the RC. He contacted a man in Spanish...after talking the man asked.."Do you speak english?" I said " yes". "He then asked if I could speak in English because he could not understand me.:) " Well, I have a long way to go but, I know that the Lord will provide a way to get his message to his children, I hope I can be that tool"

Alcides turns 17!

Guess who was having a birthday....incase you can recognize him it is Alcides :) This is a whole other side of him I did not know :) A bunch of friends went out maybe they were all looking for special birthday outfits. We had a great time celebrating his day. We love you Alcides!

"Happy Birthday Dear Alcides, happy birthday to YOU!

We hope he had a great day!

The Final Game!

Saturday JM played their last game of the season, and Zach and Alcides last High School game! They lost to Charlotte Catholic 1-0. They played a great game!!! There were so many there to support the Bulldogs and specifically Zach and Alcides. Great season guys! "Just a bunch of guys"

Just like brothers!
Kushal, Zach, Alcides, Ben, Chris

Tyler and Jordan made signs...so cute!

A hug from grandpa Lindsey

That last game is always hard...but a kiss from momma can always make it better!
After Tory...this number should be retired!
He did not want to take off the uniform.

Temple Day!

It was a beautiful fall day. A great day for a trip to the temple. I guess everyone else thought that too. There were so many there that I did not even get in a session. I guess that's good that it was full but a bummer that we drove all that way and did not even get to do a session. Oh well. It was still a nice day.
Can't stop being bishop...they always find him!
Dave & Kristalyn Thornock came along with us.

Happy Birthday Fern!

Friday Nov. 13 was my BFF's birthday. A group of us took her out to celebrate! It was so fun to catch up on eveyones's lives and what is going on. Happy Birthday Fern! The birthday Girl

Elder Page Week 4

Hola Familia,

How is everyone doing? This week I think that I realized that my mission will have some of the best moments in my life and some of the saddest and most discouraging moments in my life. I was so discouraged yesterday! I just felt like a piece of chewed gum stuck on the bottom of a goodman's loafer :) I just felt that I was not being the kind of missionary I wanted to be and I felt that I was so far behind. I felt this way until we got to the TRC.

When we started teaching I just felt the spirit. The spirit bore testimony to me that the Lord loved her (the lady he was teaching) and to testify of that. Me and Elder Jordan both after said we felt the spirit say the same thing.

That night one of the Presidency of the 70 was talking about being bold in finding people to teach. I know that we need to be brave and bold in our testimony. when you don't know what to say just say what you know to be true. Bear Testimony! When you speak they are just words until you testify of them. As we are bold we will find. We may not always see the fruits of our labors, but they are there, but just as seeds sometimes. In the MTC it is hard to see the fruits of your labors. I know though that as I work now the Lord will fill my mouth as I am bold in opening it. Zach is an example to me of not always seeing the fruits of my labor. I know that he will continue to grow and progress even though I am gone. I also know that you all will continue to support and love him.

Well, how is the gang. Tell Tory I am proud of him for mowing the lawn. He is just awesome! When I get home he is just going to be an awesome youngman. Tell Abby that I love her. I have truly missed her more than any one now. I have all these Elders, but there is no one that can take tat girls place! Tell Zach that I said hey and Al too, Tell them good luck in the playoffs. I love you all and keep me in you prayers. talk to you soon.

Love

Playoff Game # 2

The boys are still in it after their win this saturday night and it was a nail bitter! At the end of regulation it was 1-1, still 1-1 after overtime and golden goal. So it went to penalty kicks. We won 6-5 Wow it was close. The pressure was on Ben as he took the last kick for JM. He has to make it to win! Yeah he held up over the pressure. They play this Wednesday. It will probably be the biggest game of the season. Jelana and her mother Sue came down for the weekend from VA to see Zach play.
Sue, Anna Guyer, Jelana, Allison Biggers
I think this was at the end of over time...they were so tired.
Zach and Jelana
All smiles after the game!

Another P-Day

The kids were out of school and the Elders were over ready to hang out. They spent the day outside, it was a beautiful day. They played football, and soccer, they even had a race! Zach and Alcides had soccer practice, so before they came home Abby and Tory played football. Abby really showed her stuff, it made it easy since The Elders could not touch her :) She was quiet a contender. The reall competive game came later when the boys got home. It is always a fun time when they are over. They stayed for dinner and FHE, before leaving for their appointment. Transfers are this week. It is always a DOOONNN DOON DO DOOON moment finding out who is going or staying. We hope they both get to stay.
Elder Hutchins had to race Zach to see how fast he was. Zach won!
Abby was the photograper today, so this is an Abby kodak moment.
