Family Beach Trip

July finally arrived and it was time for all of us to meet up on the Beautiful Coast of NC. Zach and Marissa, met up with Dallin & Jaclyn in Raleigh while Matthew flew to Charlotte to ride with the rest of us. I can't even describe how wonderful it was to all be together. Family is everything!!!! We had so much fun, hanging out, playing games, eating delicious food, having spiritual moments every night, talking & laughing, crying, building sandcastles, swimming in the ocean, getting tans, playing music....it was just the perfect week! It went much too quickly, and it now seems like forever ago that we were even together. I long for the time we get to do that again. Like I said Family is everything, it gives life and eternity purpose. I love you all so much! Till next time...

Raleigh Temple with Abigail

Abigail's temple weekend was beautiful! She invited a few special guest to join us on her big day, The Watson's and the Mitchell's, and of course any family that could join us. I wish we had more opportunities to go back before she left, but when she gets home, we will get there every week before she heads back to school, and then she can go every day if she would like :) Wish my parents were able to be there with us, Dad's health just does not allow it right now, and I take that back, my Mom was definitely there with us! Miss you soooo much Momma.

Key West Getaway

In June Steve and I took a trip to Key West Florida to celebrate our 25th anniversary (which was last year) We had to keep canceling our trip, but we finally went. It was soooo hot! But we had a great place to stay and had lots of fun biking and discovering the island life. We had a great time together, which was time much needed! Can't wait to go off again to celebrate our wonderful lives.

June Summer 2013 has quickly come and gone...

Catching up on summer is crazy! My blog has been difficult (not loading like it should) so I have not been able to post all summer long. June was off to a great start. we spent lots of time with family. We had so many cousins coming from and going on missions, that's so wonderful! We gathered in Caswell for a last hurrah for Brandon and Carson. Brandon left for SLC South mission in June, Carson left a few weeks later for Ireland/Scotland Mission. So we cooked out at Grandma Myra's, and hug out with cousins and friends.

Fathers Day Weekend, We got together when Laurie and her sweet family were all in town for a visit. We ate and laughed and caught up on all that has been going on with the Jenkins Clan. We took her to see grandma's grave also. We all miss her so very much. Dad is doing better, loves hanging out with family. We try to get up to visit him every week and take him on a little outing. Wish really does brighten his day. We really enjoy spending the time with him as well.
