Saturday was Scott and Kara's reception. We were missing alot of people but those who came had a great time. These are just a few of the pictures taken, there were cameras on the tables, so I am sure there are many more. Notice the boys are not in any of the pictures, they were all playing basketball on the other side of the gym...BOYS! Oh well they had fun too! It was a beautiful night. We wish Scott and Kara many long and happy years together!!!!

Howdy Partner!
Elder Page is doing wonderfully. His new companion Elder Nuttall, is from Iowa. He is very quiet and loves to read and write stories. Matthew is looking at it as an opportunity to be more talkative and take the lead on discussions, and work on his spanish. They have a new Ward mission leader who is excited to get to work with them. They have a few families they are teaching, hopefully they will continue to progress and come to church. He loves all the letters and the support he is receiving from so many...keep them coming :) Here he is with the Patriarch of the Delgado family...howdy partner!

Sunday with the missionaries...
Today we had the Elders over for lunch and dinner. They went out with Bishop in between. We really love having the missionaries in our home. We are slowly getting to know Elder Dodson and Elder Page. Yea Elder Page, cool huh! He comes from a family of 5 kids...all sisters just the opposite of us. We have just decided he could be one of ours! We keep teasing Elder Dodson about being a (Greenie) we are not allowed to say that word :) Tomorrow they are coming over for P-day to hang out play soccer or whatever they want to do. We have found out that the missionaries just like being in a family atmosphere so they can definately get that here. I am glad that they are starting to feel comfortable with us. They have not come over like the Elders in the past. I think because this being Elder Dodson's first area and Elder Page coming here when Elder Dodson was just getting to know the area made it a little different. But I hope they know that we love them.

Things going well in Fabens
What a sweet surprise I got in the mail yesterday. Elder Page sent me a homemade birthday present and I LOVE IT! Thank you so much Matthew. He is getting adjusted with a new companion, Elder Nuttal. I guess we will hear how it is going in next weeks letter. They are teaching a young family right now and have committed them to baptism. He is nervous about leading out in the area. He will do fine! Keep those cards and letters coming!

The package has arrived!
Well the package arrived safely yesterday....after having to go thru every time zone you can think of, Jaclyn is finally here! We are so happy to see her again, especially with Dallin home. They are quickly getting reacquainted. It is so nice that she will be here a while instead of a weekend trip. I will keep you posted on all the things we do while she is here.

I'm the Birthday Girl!
Happy Birthday to ME! Yep another one has come and is almost over. I am falling fast on the other side of the hill! YIKES! I had a fun day with Steve even though I was not feeling great. He took me to lunch and we did some shopping until I gave out and was just too tired...had to get back home and lay down....that is what getting old does to you :) No I have just been sick for the last while. Hopefully I am on the up and up! I got lots of birthday wishes and my friends took me to lunch yesterday. It was so good to get out. No matter how bad I feel I can always laugh with my sweetie! We had fun taking pictures today. We kept laughing because Steve's face was always so big in the picture! Oh well I love him! Thanks for a great Birthday Sweetie!

Elder Page stays in Fabens Texas
Elder Page will be in Fabens one atleast one more transfer. Not sure who is new companion is yet. We have not heard from him yet this week. This is Matt with his BFF Hermano Rivas. He has just been released as the Ward Mission leader. I am sure he will still be getting fresh bread from the bakery every day.
